Pete Madsen and Celeste Kopel

Pete Madsen and Celeste Kopel are a blues duo hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. Their music is focused on the intimate sound of prewar blues from the masters: Robert Johnson, Son House, Skip James, Big Bill Bronzy, and others. Celeste and Pete have produced the show From the Delta and Beyond, a brief history of early blues. Celeste belts out powerful and soulful vocals against the backdrop of Pete’s virtuosic guitar playing. Pete is a blues scholar and has produced many instructional books that showcase his knowledge of finger style blues and slide guitar.
